Directions
I90 East, exit Sherman Ave. downtown, heading east under the highway until the road changes to Fernan Lake Rd. Follow it all the way up until you reach the saddle/ parking area. You’ll take a road to the slight left (FS Road 268 or Lost Mies Rd.) and follow it into the Coeur d’Alene National Forest.
Forest road 612 about 2 miles. The trailhead and parking area are adjacent to the paved portion of the 612 road. This trail heads north from forest road 612 and intersects Forest Road 392 where it is dropping down into the West Fork of Hudlow Creek and ultimately dropping into the Little North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River.
